Veda (Harry) Magee is a retired schoolteacher. She and her twin sister, Weda, were born on a Clear Creek farm eighty-nine years ago near the little village of Prairie Point in North Texas.

Veda is a graduate of the Texas Woman’s University in Denton with a B.S. degree in sociology.

Following retirement, Veda worked in genealogy, co-authoring a family history. From this interest in writing came her first novel, TO EMMA, a story of country folk.

The author moved from the little Prairie Point area in 1980 to Bowie, Texas where she presently resides.
