Sheila Kadra is married,
the mother of four and the grandmother of four. She holds
both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Education and has
done post-graduate studies in writing at several colleges.
For nearly thirty years, she has taught both creative and
expository writing to students at middle school, high school,
and college levels. She is co-author of Painting with Words:
an imaginative approach to writing competency, a writing text
for students in grades 6 - 10 published originally by Independent
School Press, later by Longman and Addison-Wesley. Prior to
teaching, she was the local correspondent for a community
newspaper. Now that she is retired, she has time to practice
what she preached for so many years. Meggie's story is the
result of that practice. Others will follow.
