Settled in Boston for
the last eight years, Dawn Jelley was born and raised in the
north of England. She remained in England until successfully
graduating from nursing school. She now uses her expertise
as a home care Hospice nurse assisting terminally ill patients
and their families until death. Her writing talents have been
greatly influenced by these unique and challenging experiences.
Her love of writing began young when she wrote scripts for
traditional English family pantomimes. As her enthusiasm grew
she expanded into directing and producing. One of Dawn's more
challenging productions was an adaptation of the Dracula story,
filmed using inventive characterization at a World Heritage
Site in the north of England.
She has also written, directed and produced various recreational
videos used successfully by her employer as team-building
tools, before joining forces with co-worker Paul Gustafson
to focus her energy on a full-length screenplay.
