| Born and raised in a Los Angeles
barrio and a history graduate of UCLA, Ron Gamboa is a second generation
Mexican-American whose ancestry migrated at the turn of the century
to America from Mexico to escape the ensuing Mexican Revolution and
seek a better life after finally settling in East Los Angeles. He has
spent an entire work career with several Fortune 100 companies in the
processed food, paper and plastic industries, including his own plastic
extrusion business before finally retiring to his high desert home in
Victorville, California where he lives with his wife of 40-plus years.
He has four grown children and four grandchildren. When not traveling
in his motor home looking for subjects to write about and pictures to
take, he can be found pursuing his two favorite hobbies, playing golf
and writing.
